So Saddleback had it's 25th Anniversary thing yesterday and PD got to take part in it (don't ask me why). Our big moment came when the whole ministry, all 175 of us ran out on to the outfield an hour and a half behind schedule. . . So I had to drop my car off at Midas this morning, and Melissa was off doing something, so I had to walk back to the house. On the way back I walked over the freeway overpass. Astronomy is such a cool lab course. Last night we calculated the diameter of Saturns rings. Granted we had 20% error from what the actual diameter is, but eh, it's just science. Or something. But it's pretty cool, cause you actually see the gap between the rings and the planet, and if seeing is good (which it wasn't, as evidenced by the huge margin of error) you can see the cassini division.

So we just got back from Mesquite. It was a great trip. Lots of sitting on the patio by the pool and sunbathing. Yesterday we had golf lessons from a real honest to goodness golf pro. So much fun that Melissa and I are thinking about getting a summer pass or whatnot to the Anaheim public golf course. Or maybe we'll just go to the driving range, we may not be good enough yet to actually go golfing
