Quick update for you on a bunch of different things.
We have a bunny now, her name is Polly Peachum (after the character from Three Penny Opera). This picture is from right after we got her, she's much bigger now, and I'm trying my best to pluck her (she molts, she's an English angora rabbit) but she doesn't appreciate it much and is quite upset with me at the moment. Hopefully she'll get over that.I finished my lap blanket finally. It's being blocked in the picture, hence the towels. It turned out very nice, although not quite as big as I had expected, which is fine, it's still plenty big for a lap blanket, just not for two laps . . . :)I'll maybe try to take a better picture of it sometime, but probably not.

I got a black eye a couple weeks ago. We were at a American Gladiators type extreme sports gym/arena thing for Eric's birthday party. I was jousting (this is the one where you try to knock each other off your platforms with a stick with pads on both ends, not traditional jousting) with another friend, Rick, when he accidentally hit me in the face (we were wearing helmets don't worry) with the end of his pole. The ends being less well padded then the sides of the ends, it knocked my helmet into my eyebrow pretty hard. Anyways . . .

It mostly looked like eye shadow with my eye closed though.

Finally, I have been gardening this summer for fun, and we planted a watermelon plant, the vines of which grow like crazy, i never knew. I was out there this morning triming the vines and weeding when I found an actual watermelon. Almost missed it, it was hiding amongst some weed on the outside of the planter. Unfortuantely while trimming I inadvertantly pulled the vine of the fruit. So I'm not sure if it's ready or not, it's about the size of a cantaloupe, but it sounds good when you knock it, so I'll cut it open tonight maybe and see how it is.
